Q:  I already have an email account that I've used for years. Why do I need a business email account?
A:  Three Reasons: First, if your email account is with an Internet provider, it is likely to change each time you change carriers. By setting up an email account that uses your domain name, you get a permanent address! Second: An email account that uses your domain (you@your company.com) is more professional than "you_1970 @yahoo.com", and will be better received by your customers. Third: Spam continues to be a major problem on the Internet. A generic email address (i.e. YAHOO, MSN, AOL) increases your risk of being accidentally blacklisted or deleted by spam filters.

Q:  Should I use Outlook or Webmail to view my email messages?
A:  Generally speaking, Outlook downloads your email messages which allows you to manage and sort your email locally. The downloaded messages do not count against your email storage limits. In addition, Outlook provides much greater control for spam filtering with the added benefit of local virus protection. Webmail allows you to read your email messages from any computer connected to the Internet. However, because these messages remain on the server and count against your overall storage limit, your email account must be purged often.
